Today’s devotional is teaching us about completely letting go of what we put in His hands. We are told to trust God completely. So anything that we will need to survive is taken care of by God. We have to have complete and absolute trust in His promises. If we give Him our prayers and request, then we start to find ways to solve these problems, that is a show of us taking back that package that holds our needs. We can’t give it and still be holding onto it. It has to be one or the other.  If we ever doubt Him, that is us taking control back of our situation and saying we don’t trust Him to do what is best. There are times when we may not like his answer, but we must remember that He knows all, past and present, and has the ability to do what is right even if we can’t see it at the time. We have to suck up our pride at times and let Him take control. He might use people that you aren’t particularly fond of to answer your prayer. If you can’t just blindly trust Him and love Him, then you are cheating yourself out of the amazing gifts that God is trying to gift you.  God may even use Satan himself to bless you as He has power over everything in our world. We must not doubt that He is God and that we must follow His Word even when it looks like we are following Him in the absolute opposite direction of what we thought He meant. Just blindly trust Him and you will be amazed at what He is doing. Nothing that is put in His trust will fail, unless we take it back or choose not to follow Him. We can never fully understand the reason behind the decisions that God is making, but we can follow it any way and God truly blesses those who show this devotion and trust. He is the one thing we shouldn’t ever doubt, as He has most certainly proven His love and devotion to us.
Thanks for sharing part of your Sunday with me. I had a wonderful service with my church today about Acts 11. How they, the group who was not named came and witnessed to the people who were not Jews. They shared the love God has for everyone, not just His chosen. Those people aren’t named, yet God knows exactly who it was that spread His love with everyone. They cared enough to do His work without recognition. Because it was what God told them to do, they didn’t question Him, but followed His lead and loved everyone without distinction or judgement.
I truly hope you will enjoy this devotional from His Victorious Indwelling:
