Today’s devotional is teaching us again about faith. It can never be stressed enough, just how very important faith is in our daily walk. What we feel and believe in our heart leads us in our decision making, and actions. It controls who we are. If you choose to follow scientific proof, then your beliefs are changing constantly with each new discovery. I personally have never quite understood the big bang theory, I mean something had to cause that bang. God. He knew by connecting this piece of space with that one that this or that would happen. Then rotate it all around the sun, so no one freezes, and food can grow, and it starts to take on new meaning. Nothing is done by accident, it absolutely has a purpose. Before He finished making it, He knew how it would end. Having the ability to know everything at all times, certainly makes it easier to make decisions. We think we know, when we make our decisions, then we discover that we were totally clueless by the time we get finished. It is imperative that we know, above everything we see, or think we see. What we hear, or think we heard, it all comes back to God. Nothing works without God. Even those who insist they will never believe in God, will be changing their mind when time comes for judgement. You either belong to God, or you don’t. There will be a time when EVERY KNEE shall bow. There is no sitting on the fence. If you don’t believe Christ died as pentance for your sins, then you die lost for all of eternity. Those who do believe in God struggle every day with their human side that is selfish and sinful. You have to go against your human nature to do the right thing. God has more than proven His love over time. He has proven it in each life as well, and when their eyes are truly open, they will be able to see it. We have access to God and His power every day, unlike when the jewish leaders were only allowed to go in the holy of holy’s once a year on Yon Kippor. We can talk and get direction at any time. We don’t have to go to a priest to have them take our request to the Lord, we can speak to Him directly ourselves. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to know personally our God and interact with Him when we choose to. Although I personally don’t believe that mankind understands how very important it is to talk to Him on a regular basis, and get to know Him in a relationship. It is a massive privlidge to have access to the Creator of this entire world at any moment every day. Can you even imagine what it would be like to spend personal time with the ruler of your state, and discuss your thoughts, hopes, and dreams. There are a lot of people and you might get that one appt every 20 years or so, depending on where you live. Then think about our president, how many millions would love to have a few moments to discuss our family, our concerns, our hopes for the future. We would be lucky to get in once in a lifetime. Can you even imagine how important you would have to be for the President to stop whatever he was doing at any moment, because you want to talk to him for a few minutes? Then stop and see what a blessing it is to just shut your eyes at any moment and talk to God. We know He hears us, because He responds to our prayers. We see him grant our needs, and show us with physical proof constantly in our lives. Truly how amazing it is to just reach out to the power of the entire Universe whenever we want to talk. Our God is good. We could not dream of having this with any other power, and yet it is so often taken for granted and ignored. Wake up people and see how much you are loved. Appreciate it and glorify Him for loving you enough to give you that.
Thanks for sharing part of your day with me, please enjoy this devotional from Streams in the Desert.
