Today’s devotional is teaching us that whatever is happening to you, each day, is exactly as God has determined it should. I will tell you I never would have taken my mind in the direction where I would have thought about this, but hearing it makes perfect sense to me. How many times have I prayed, Lord lead me and guide me, but didn’t take the time to read His Word so I could hear from Him. So He has given me that time. I no longer have to run to a job, then home to care for my family. I have asked Him to help me understand something, give me wisdom, but didn’t listen for His answer. Now I have all this time to talk to Him and study His Word. I have asked God to help me to stay away from Sin. He has removed me from the temptation of sin out in this world, and isolated me to where there is no one to tempt me. Now if I had not taken this opportunity to get closer to God and learn about His way of doing things because I got too busy watching tv. Then God might take away my cable so that wasn’t a deterrent. God does what He must to give us what we need, and He is listening to our prayers. I think back over my life and ask myself what have I prayed most for. Of course the health and happiness of my family comes to mind. He has blessed me with healthy kids and grandkids. I asked God to forgive me of my sins and keep me away from temptation, He certainly has done that. It makes me stop and think what have I asked Him for, and how He has gone about granting that. I see that because of my health problems, God has given me time to do so much work for charity. Time to learn about His Word. I have time to study and do devotional and blogs, now maybe someone else will read it, but even if they don’t, I am learning and understanding my God more every day. I will thank Him for answering my prayers. He has never given me more than I can endure, because He knows my limits. Think of every human on this earth, for all time, and He knows everything about every one of us, and has put our lives into perfect motion to achieve what He knows is best for our lives, hearts, and our very soul. How much we have to be thankful for.
Thanks for sharing part of your day with me, please enjoy this devotional from Streams in the Desert.
