Today’s devotional is teaching us about the importance of praising the Lord. It is said many times in the bible, yet how often do we just stop and see all that God has done and praise Him. Praise Him for the good and for the bad, because there is a purpose for it all. Can’t you just imagine what it must feel like for our Holy Father to give all that He has and continues to do and so very seldom hear a thank you. Don’t we all feel amazingly better when someone says thank you, or brags to others for  what you have done. It is almost like a battery recharge, where you have renewed strength to go and do more. We all live for praise. How many times have you thought to yourself, why can’t they let me know they appreciate my hard work, or when is the last time someone said thanks instead of just expecting me to do something? We all are faced with challenges in this world and most of us never hesitate to ask God for help when a problem occurs, but ask yourself truly when is the last time you just praised God? Even when you wake up in the morning, do you ever just thank God for giving you another day? They aren’t guaranteed by any means, yet we expect them. Praising God locks Satan, and all evil out, because we are in commune with God. So few understand the real  importance. Instead of answering your phone like you are about to die, try telling whoever called you,  all that you have to be thankful for, list the great things that are happening in your life.  Force yourself to look for the good and focus on that. Thank God for all that is good in your life. Have you ever just sat and thought about all you have to praise Him for? Have you ever gone to Him in prayer with only praise for what He already has done? Give that some thought on this cool crisp fall morning.
Thanks for sharing part of your day with me please enjoy this devotional from His Victorious Indwelling:
