Today’s devotional is teaching us to give God our burdens and not pick them back up. It makes it more of a challenge for God to find a way to help you. When we outright go to God with our needs, and literally feel the weight of it off our shoulders when we leave, then we know we truly and rightfully gave it to God. It is easy to give it lip service. Some even mean it, but don’t quite know what to do about it, than they can see it and say, what ever took you so long. Just literally pray about the need, get up and don’t stress over it anymore, know that God will provide a way. Then when someone tells you they have what you need, just take it and thank them, as well as God for the provision. It is always amazing to hear that God used you or your actions to meet a need.  I sit here and can imagine a group page on the web, that list things that you no longer need, and those who are in need read through and see if anyone is giving one away. Sadly I can imagine it being abused as well, but I will say this, if you no longer wanted it, what do you care who got it? I suppose that is what the Salvation Army store and Goodwill started out to be. The space needed to store it, and people who handle it, clean it, and display it, does cost money.
I just wish in my heart that we could all truly learn to give our burdens to God. It may not be a need to be filled, it could be personal healing of body or heart. Absolutely God can and will provide for those who trust in Him. Even when the healing doesn’t come, God is at work. He could be taking you home before other things could happen, we never know what the future might bring. We do know that God can change it all. There is nothing that God can’t do. I personally love my family dearly, but would jump at the chance to go and be with God, it’s like the supreme gift and opportunity and I truly think that many will be left wishing they had only taken the time to take Him up on the opportunity when they had the chance. The young think they will live forever. God has a plan for each hour of your life, and He alone knows exactly when He will take you back.
