Today’s devotional is teaching us that He is the source for all our needs. We are to come to Him, to get all that is necessary. Any other source will give you less than the true desires of our heart. Sub standard imitation is the only offering of the world. He says come to Him to get gold that is pure, that has been through the fire, and had all impurities removed. The Word tells us that He will provide for our every need. Food, clothing, love, and grace, I ask you, what more could we truly need? We know He provides for the animals, the plants, but yet we seem to think He will ignore our needs. He loves us far more than anything else that was created, because we are made in His image. His greatest creation was given a soul, a brain to think and plan, and eyes to see, and yet we fail to see what is there for our benefit.
When we think of the disciples who were in the boat with Christ when that mighty storm was rocking them, they feared losing their life, yet they were in the presence of Christ. Who has all the powers of our creator. It all comes down to us being blind to what is right in front of our face.  We have to wake up and see that we have access to our Creator, and He will provide for our needs. There is no money needed, He provides grace and mercy. Even the little things that might not weigh on our conscious, are wiped clean from the slate. We must not dwell on them any longer, but know that God has forgiven our mistakes. We still should make restitution when possible, showing God in your heart and the change that has been made within you.  You are now a representative of Christ. Do not pick back up that heavy load of guilt over your past mistakes, leave it at the cross. You are free and light with a clean slate, go and sin no more. That should be the most important goal in your heart and life. Putting Him first before anything.
