Today’s devotional is teaching us about the power in doing nothing. There are times in our life when we will be judged wrongly for something we haven’t done, and we will not be able to control what others think about us. We know that we have it right with God and our conscious is clear. Later the truth may come out, or maybe it won’t, but it does not matter because God knows. We can rest easy when we know that we have things clear between us and God. There may be a reason that God does not reveal your innocence to the world. It could be to teach us a lesson, to show you pride is not everything, to show others you are human and make mistakes too, so they can feel like they can relate to you, even though none of it ever happened the way the world thinks. God is big enough to know exactly what is going on. If it is happening, there is a specific reason for it and we have to let God’s plan, play out. He can protect us from any hurt, but we always claim to want to be like Christ, well He was brutally beaten and nailed to a cross for sins that He never committed. Any small taste of injustice that we might have to suffer, can no where begin to be as bad as what Christ endured for our sins. We are beyond blessed that we don’t have to pay the price for our own sins. God knows what we can handle and will never give us more than our limit, because He loves us that much.
