Today’s devotional is teaching us about staying focused on our thoughts and intentions. Most of us can remember a time when we had a thought cross our mind, did God really create this world, or was Christ’s suffering in the cross, really enough to grant me forgiveness of all of my sins, what about the horrid criminals in jail who come to know God at the end. More recently could God possibly forgive this man who took so many lives in Las Vegas? Absolutely without a shadow of a doubt, yes. God did form our earth and Christ suffering was indeed enough to pay our debts. When thoughts come along to make us doubt our place or relationship with God, they are most certainly come from evil. They steal your joy and happiness in praise of the gift we have all been given at His expense. It is next to impossible to stop thoughts such as this from crossing our mind. Satan is very much alive and active in our world today. What we can do is fill our minds so full of God’s greatness, that there is no room for those thoughts to linger about our mind. We are born sinful humans, but we are given Grace. We must stay focused on how amazing this grace is, that we don’t allow our minds to question, or linger about any doubts. We must train our mind to stay focused on the amazing gifts that God has bestowed upon us. Ward off any opportunity for your mind to question the power that is the Father, Son, and Holy ghost. There is no greater gift than what we have been given and who are we to question what He has done, just accept it and say thank you. Teach your children or new Christians that it is natural to doubt, so when they come upon you, just remember to think, who are we to question the creator of this world? He was, is, and will always be our Savior.
