Today’s devotional is teaching us about our walk with Christ. We are to stop and pause before taking our steps and ask yourself would God or Christ like this? Will it bring glory to the Heavenly Trinity? I think we all need to actually pause more often and ask ourselves if Christ is pleased with our steps, our service, or what we could do better to bring glory to Him. Imagine if you would God walked beside you one day, every step, would your actions be the same. You would be so consciously aware of every thought as He knows your mind and feelings. We certainly would not want to bring Him shame. We can’t think of our walk with Christ as limiting ourselves from things of this earth, but rather He is lifting us up so that we can sit with Him in Heaven. He is trying to share His greatest gift and honor with us, so He is preparing us for proper behavior so that we will feel at home and not out of place with Him in Heaven. Christ’s whole existence has been to grant us accessibility to God the Father. He was created with that plan in place, and He was honored to do so for mankind out of love He has for us. He is only trying to give you the best and not make you feel foreign at His table like a poor relation who has no manners and knows not what to do with the glories that will be everyday when we reach Heaven.
So pause before you make even those little decisions in your day and keep yourself contained in the right and correct way to represent Christ. Look bow many claim to be His now, while acting shameful and nothing like the heart of Christ. Don’t we desire to represent Him Well? Do we want to only claim it but not feel the joy that comes from walking with Him as He instructed. What could feel better for mere mankind?
Thanks so much for sharing part of your day with me please enjoy this devotional from His Victorious Indwelling:
