Do you ever have those days when absolutely nothing goes right? Days when you feel like a total failure. Get really depressed because nothing seems to be going the way you wanted and you even wonder why you are here. Are you serving a purpose? I speak to myself as much as anyone else here. We aren’t good enough, no and we never could be on our own. That is why we ask Christ to come into our heart and be the ruler of our life. He is our Savior and has given His life so that we can be given forgiveness of our sins. We as humans are never worthy and never sinless. We are blessed to have our Lord love us SO much that He took the punishment for our wrongs. So the next time you feel like you can’t do anything right, just look to God. He will show us what to do, lead us down the right path, and on the road to a destination that is out of this world. Just because we are not worthy on our own does not mean that we can’t achieve amazing things if they are the will of God. Yes, He does give us the little things like edification to boost our moral when we are down. He knows what we need to get ourselves out of our own pity party. We all sink into them and we know we need to pull ourselves out but at times we just want to roll around in the mud because we know that is really all we are worthy of on our own. As a child of God however we are entitled to be treated like brothers and sisters of the Lord, Christ. With His blood erasing all your mistakes how could you go wrong? You are worthy of good things, and being treated as equals to everyone else. When the time comes for judgement we all will have sin in our lives, we are born with it. So we all need the forgiveness that can only come from Christ. His sacrifice on the cross as a sinless man, pays the price for our mistakes. Then we will all be equally without sin and be allowed to go to Heaven for eternity. Just tell yourself the next time you get down in the dumps, that you are on the same level as even royalty, everyone can only have a Heavenly eternity if they have excepted Christ. How much we have to be thankful for. What more could we possibly want? When it comes to eternity, the time we have on this earth is but a blip in time. So hold your chin up and know where it really matters you are just as good as everyone else.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and set aside some time to give to your relationship with God. Please enjoy this devotional message from His Victorious Indwelling:
…a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith. 1 TIMOTHY 1:5 It is quite possible for every one of us to have a perfectly good conscience. A happy state to be in! Have you a good conscience? Are you under accusation, under condemnation? Are you fretting and worrying about the badness of your own heart? That means that you have not the answer of a good conscience to God. What is the matter? You are still looking for something from nature, from the old man. You had better give it up, as that is the only way out—repudiate it. Tell yourself and tell the accuser once and for all that in you, that is, in your flesh, dwelleth no good thing, and you never expect to find anything. The enemy knows it, and yet he is trying to get you on an impossible quest for something he knows you will never find, and that is how he worries you. Years of it! Then why not come onto the Lord’s ground and outmaneuver him? Let us settle it that we can never expect to find any good in our old nature. All our good is in another, even our Lord Jesus. It is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. T. AUSTIN-SPARKS
What is our link with God? It is this: the Lord Jesus Christ as the answer to God and to Satan for us. It will never be what we are in ourselves. If you are expecting a day to come when in virtue of what you are in yourself you can satisfy God, you are destined to an awful disillusionment. The day will never come when we can satisfy God in ourselves, not even more or less. F. W. GRANT
